Louisiana native, Khalil McKnight, immerses himself in the world of self-portraiture. He currently attends the Rhode Island School of Design, pursuing his BFA. Through double self-portraiture, he explores ideas of individuality and its relation to racial stereotypes. His other interests lie in history, where he utilizes the Harlem Renaissance and subjects of political cartoons to inspire his work. He has been in several juried exhibitions throughout the United States and plans to become an established artist.
